Master Classes 2024
Semilla Flamenca hosted classes for kids and teens at our studio.

We had 3 fantastic shows at the Benaroya Hall in Seattle and one at Rainier Club. October 16th, 18th and 19th

Collaboration between our studio and choreographer Sonia Franco.
Sonia Franco worked with our students for a couple of months and presented dancing with them, an -Alegria- at the end of her show at Benaroya Hall.

St Jude, Children´s Research Hospital. Walk/Run Seattle
In Sept 2024, our little students donated their time and skills, showing off at the stage for St Jude´s fundraiser, before all the little runners took off for the race.

Workshops with Rafa Ramirez
Semilla Flamenca students had the opportunity to learn from Rafael Ramirez during his U.S. tour with Spain Arts and Culture.
At the end of the workshop, the teens and pre-teens got to dance with Rafael and his group of artists on the Meydenbauer Theater stage.

SEATTLE INTERNATONAL CHILDREN´S FESTIVAL 2021
Semilla Flamenca´s students were part of the Festival´s program. Taking place on April 17th and 18th.
TACAWA partnering with Seattle Center and Ethnic Heritage Council, offer this Festival. An opportunity to witness our children honor their cultures through performance and education, as well as pledge their commitment to international peace and friendship.

INCLUSIVE FLAMENCO - COMPAÑIA JOSE GALÁN
Inspired by artists with disabilities throughout the history of flamenco, this choreographic work reassesses what is possible on stage, and invites us to think about the established canons of art. It is a risky, courageous, and transgressive endeavor. With an atypical aesthetic, this show breaks stereotypes, prejudices, and clichés, it highlights creative freedom and diversity as fundamental values.

After Anabel Moreno’s presentation (With the Casa Patas tour) at the Benaroya Hall in Seattle, she gave us her time to teach us 2 amazing Master Classes, one for our girls, and the other for Adults, this was also open to all the Flamenco Community in Seattle.
This event happened in November 2017 at the Mercer Island Community and Event Center.

Semilla Flamenca presented all what they learned from Sept-Jan. This happened at the Redmond Performing Arts Center, and our special guest was Diana Hernandez Leon.
MINI WORKSHOPS WITH DIANA LEON HERNANDEZ
Diana traveled to Seattle from Guadalajara, Mexico, as a the special guest of our recital on January 2018.
That same weekend, Diana, who has great experience teaching children and also has her own academy, got to teach all the classes. Lucky us!
